A nice big winter storm is blowing across the Seward Peninsula right now and will bring 6-10 inches of snow to the Brooks Range in the next couple of days. This is great news unless you're stranded in the middle of nowhere right now. Iniakuk Lake is currently frozen over hard with over 10 inches of ice thickening each day. This snowstorm means skis will be necessary on all bush planes from now until late April.
