Iniakuk Lake Weather, Brooks Range, Alaska
Instead of thrashing, crashing, blowing from one end of Iniakuk Lake to the other, then funneling on out Tobuk Creek, the ice this year has decided to tinkle and linger.
We are re-re-re-scheduled in for June 21, eleven days past due. The temps are scorching and yet, the ice, unreasonably thick, just bobs around the lake without a care.

Summer Season 2013 on Hold
Well boohoo. The long winter's night has produced thick ice, thin snow, no spring then blistering temps and back to nature cooling down.
We were scheduled in on June 10 but the ice is holding fast. It's such a short, intense summer season. Every day counts.
