Update1: Trend - Improving. Looking north to the Alatna Valley, the ceiling is still very low and I cannot see the big mountain behind Iniakuk Lodge which is about 6 miles away and 3500' in elevation.
Looking south, ceiling is 1000' becoming defined, sky is brightening, rain has subsided. Visibility 10 miles, Alatna Hills visible, rain fog has dissipated for now. Rain has stopped, winds calm.

Morning ground fog is - right down to the ground! Ceiling is zero. Visibility is about 50 yards. There is a beautiful fall day coming. I will post when the fog starts to lift. Be sure to check NOAA Weather for the Southeastern Brooks Range: Arctic Village, Wiseman, Coldfoot, Chandalar D.O.T. Camp and Iniakuk Lake. NOAA is forecasting an early fall storm to impact Northern Alaska Monday and Tuesday of next week.
