Reading the Signs

 And the sign said, 'Long-haired, creepy people need not apply.' But he ambled up to the window anyway, a rather sorry looking sight at that - hair matted, skinny, grumpy with an odor characteristic of a long winter's night filling the air.

When a bear passes by and decides to bench press one of your windows, then plays racquet ball with the canned goods, who is trespassing? When he eats the refrigerator compressor and flosses with plastic coated heavy duty clothesline, is that breaking and entering?

We have often said Iniakuk Lodge is integrated with the landscape rather than hewn from it. Is that so? Does this mean we're living in concert with nature? Who was here first? Who's on second!
