The northern reaches of Alaska offer caribou viewing adventures similar to an African Safari. The main difference is that you will be in Alaska, not Africa, you will fly out by floatplane as there are no roads for Range Rovers, and instead of seeing lions, tigers and zebras you will watch moose, caribou, grizzly bear and wolves as they cross the open tundra.
Iniakuk Lake Wilderness Lodge offers privately owned cabins inside Gates of the Arctic National Park. This means you can experience the tundra above the Arctic Circle, above treeline and surrounded by caribou from the comfort of a warm cabin where your guide cooks fresh, homemade meals for you.
This is Alaska.
