Iniakuk Lake Weather, Brooks Range, Alaska

Barometer 29.2, temperature 60 degrees. Ceiling 6000' scattered in dense smoke. Visibility 5 miles in dense smoke. North wind at 3 knots.

At 11:22p last night, a T-storm passed through with a thunderclap so close and intense it caused the window in my sleeping house to concuss. It was like an explosion.
