Iniakuk Lake Fire and Weather, Brooks Range, Alaska

Barometer 30.1, temperature 38 degrees. Ceiling unlimited, visibility 10 miles in light smoke. Slight north wind.

Iniakuk Fire Update: Yesterday brought a brief but significant rain which helped quell the fire. Lower temperatures, higher humidity and lots of rain are what we need to put the east ridge fire out. We estimate 80% of the east ridge has burned.
